6)    Eat lots of raw fruits and vegetables.  Snacking on more fiber prevents overeating, as it makes you feel full for longer periods of time.  It keeps the energy levels elevated throughout the day as well. Consume meals that are mainly made of protein, fiber and water. Also cut out as much salt as possible.  Sodium will cause water retention and make losing the weight that much harder.
