Funny thing is that you can do all the sit ups and crunches in the world every day for the rest of your life and you may or may not get there. The fact is that your abdominal muscles are covered by a layer of fat and if you have fat covering your abs, how are they going to become visible? 

Without getting rid of the fat first you will never figure out how to get a six pack abs physique by exercise alone. We need to get rid of the fat first and then tone your abs section. Your body has to have protein, especially as you learn how to get a six pack because protein is critical for muscle growth. The more muscle you develop, the more energy you need and protein is a must have for energy. Also try to consume protein throughout the day in the form of nuts and healthy snacks, as this will keep your body burning calories throughout the day. 

The Two Enemies for Your Battle 

As you learn how to get a six pack abs workout plan, there are two huge enemies that you must stay away from at all costs. They are high fructose corn syrup and artificial trans fats. Both are main stays in today’s food ingredients and if you don’t believe it, just look at the labels of so many items on the shelves.  

High fructose corn syrup is a common sweetener and is used in many items but especially in fruit juices and drinks. This is a main reason that you need to consume water (8-10 glasses per day) on a regular basis as you continue your workout plan. 

Artificial trans fats are a man-made product used to extend the shelf life of many foods. Being that it’s a man-made product, our bodies do not digest and expel it at a rapid pace and thus it accumulates on us. For most people, the main place that fat accumulates is in their belly region. That can make it difficult to learn how to get a six pack if you keep packing on the fat. 

Exercise Last 

Finally after all of that we get down to the exercise portion of this plan. That alone will tell you how important your diet is in developing rock hard abs. But now that you’ve gotten this far, how to get a six pack is down to the exercises. Crunches (both straight and side) along with leg lifts are some of the best low impact exercises for abdominal workouts.
