A healthy eating guide needs to include protein as it is needed primarily for repair and growth of the human body. Fish has omega 3 fatty acids that help in rebuilding cells and enhancing the memory capacity of the brain. Since our bodies are primarily made up of water, it goes to reason that we need to consume plenty of it. Water flushes out your kidneys and body and keeps you hydrated during your workouts. It’s also a great way of getting rid of the toxins in your body as you follow your guide to healthy eating. 

Slow Down While Eating Smaller Portions 

Take your time eating and chewing your food. Studies have shown that it takes the brain somewhere between 7 to 12 minutes to realize that the body is no longer hungry. If you take your time while eating your meals, you’ll realize that you don’t need to eat as much since you will realize you’re full sooner. Also start with smaller portions and seriously ask yourself if you need to go back for seconds.
